4 simple tips to help your headaches

by Dr. Rangan Chatterjee

Headaches can be extremely debilitating. Around 90% of us will suffer from a headache in any given year. There can be some serious secondary causes of headaches (tumours, infections and strokes) so it is always worth getting these ruled out by your doctor.

Most headaches are what we call primary headache disorders and include subtypes such as migraines and tension headaches. They are thought to arise from a complex interplay between our genes and our environment.

There are several lifestyle factors that may be contributing to the development of your headaches including:

  1. Inadequate fluid intake
  2. Eye Strain (can be checked by your optician)
  3. Caffeine – both too much caffeine and a sudden reduction in your consumption

Your doctor may well have mentioned some of these to you already.

In this short video, I cover 4 areas that you may not have considered yet. I hope they may help you uncover what might be contributing to your headaches.

Please consider sharing this video if you know someone who may benefit.
