A new mental health care service has being launched to help GPs who are struggling with stress and unmanageable workloads. A recent study has found that 50% of GPs are at “high risk” of burnout.
Whilst help for those affected is welcome, this is simply papering over the cracks. The whole system needs an overhaul so that doctors are not burning out in the first place.
Unhappy doctors leads to unhappy patients.
Societal lifestyle problems are bringing the NHS to is knees and we need to address this collectively as a society!
